Description

Royal Train passing Lostock junction, Lancashire, 1913, watched by the public. The train carried King George V and Queen Mary to Lancashire as part of their tour of the North West of England. The King and Queen visited several towns and Horwich and Crewe railway works. The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway, like other railway companies had carriages especially for use by the Royal family. They had a dining room and day and night saloons.
