Description

Burroughs calculating machine, 1908. This mechanical calculator was an invaluable machine for railway office workers dealing with finances or statistics, and was widely used during the first half of the 20th century. This machine was invented in 1885, by the American William Burroughs, and his adding machines were later manufactured in Britain.
