Phillips multiplane, 1904. Horation Phillips, 1845-1926, conducted numerous experiments with multiple wings and airfoil sections from 1884 to 1891 which led to numerous 'venetian blind' type aeroplanes. Using a wind tunnel and a circular track in Harrow, Middlesex he concieved the 1904 multiplane in 1893. Many of these were structurally unsound.
