A photograph of men in the Daily Herald sub editors' room making calculations and sifting through their paperwork, taken by Harold Tomlin for the newspaper in about 1928. Most of the men look middle-aged but there are two young men in the background who were possibly office juniors running errands for their bosses. The photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
