The owner of the chicken had a good sense of humour. He built the small cart with a harness so that one of the hens could tow his eggs up to the backdoor. It became so well known to local residents that it also helped raise sales of his eggs. John Drysdale grew up in East Africa acquiring an early interest in both photography and animals. He trained at Guildford School of Art and has worked in photo-reportage, advertising and won numerous awards. But perhaps his most memorable work has been in the field of humour, working with children and animals in real life situations.
