A photograph of Australian cricketer C L Badcock, taken by Edward Malindine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 20 April, 1938. The Australian cricket team had just arrived in Britain on tour. Badcock is using an Ensign Kinecam 16mm cine camera to film the press cameramen recording their arrival. Australian captain Don Bradman is pictured to the left of Badcock. Sir Donald Bradman (1908-2001) is a sporting legend, widely regarded as the greatest cricketer of modern times. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
