At £69.50, this motorbike was expensive for its time. Founded in 1894, the Rudge-Whitworth Company were a British manufacturer noted for their technical innovation and racing success. Rudge-Whitworth continued producing motorcycles until 1940. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs.
