A photograph of two bee-keepers at the Bee and Honey Show held at Crystal Palace, taken by Tomlin for the Daily Herald newspaper on 30 September, 1936. These two women try out the latest bee-keeping equipment. Both wear protective hats with netting, as one woman examines a device for sending smoke into a beehive. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
