A photograph of a woman talking into a Cossor oscillograph, taken by Bishop Marshall for the Daily Herald newspaper on 26 August, 1936. This oscillograph was shown at Radiolympia, the National Radio Exhibition held at Olympia. 'An oscillograph, an instrument for measuring the strength of the voice, enables visitors to the Cossor stand to see themselves speak'. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
