A photograph of a busy blacksmith's workshop in Camberwell, South London, taken by George Woodbine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 30 September, 1935. This family firm of blacksmiths had worked at the same site in London for nearly two hundred years, shoeing horses and making and repairing other items of metalwork. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
