A photograph of a film studio, taken by Tomlin for the Daily Herald newspaper on 21 June, 1935. The scene is Elstree studios during the filming of 'While Parents Sleep'. One of the stars of the film was a young actor named Billy Hartnell (1908-1975) - in later life television's first Doctor Who in 1963. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
