A steam-powered barge, probably on the Forth and Clyde Canal. This canal, also known as the "Great Canal", stretched across Southern Scotland, from Grangemouth to Bowling. It was used for over 100 years, and closed in 1963, after finally succumbing to competition from roads and railways.
