The Ohio sleeper car, the first sleeper car of the Great Northen Railway, produced in 1875, was converted four years later into a dining car, designed by Waring, who when on design the London and North Western Railway Royal Train in 1902-3 and the royal yacht. The use of the car Â renamed the Prince of Wales, was limited to first class passengers, whom it allowed a leisurely dinner during its four-hour journeys from Kings Cross to Leeds.
