A photograph of a display at the Radiolympia exhibition, at Olympia, London, taken by Malindine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 17 August, 1934. A woman puts the finishing touches to a model based on Francis Barraud's (1856-1924) painting 'His Master's Voice'. This image, featuring Nipper the dog listening to a recording of his owner's voice on a gramophone - originally a cylinder phonograph - became a famous twentieth century trademark. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
