A photograph of a woman inside a radiogram on display at the Radiolympia show at Olympia, London, taken by George Woodbine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 14 August, 1933. Produced by His Master's Voice (HMV), this radiogram combines a radio and gramophone. It is set in a glas-fronted cabinet, making visible the internal valves, wires and speakers. The glas casing also reveals the woman who has climbed inside the cabinet, perhaps to repair the radiogram. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
