A photograph of Jewish protestors heading towards Hyde Park, London, marching against Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) and Nazi Germany, taken by Edward Malindine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 20 July, 1933. Drawn from diverse classes and backgrounds, these Jewish men protest together against growing anti-semitism in Germany. By 1933 the Nazis were directing a campaign of organised violence against Jews, their synagogues, businesses and property. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
