A photograph of Jewish protestors outside Woburn House in Bloomsbury, London, taken by Woodbine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 26 March, 1933. These men carry placards protesting against anti-semitism in Germany. Their placards read, 'Boycott the German Jew-baiters' and 'Boycott German Goods'. By 1933 the Nazis were directing a campaign of organised violence against Jews, their synagogues, businesses and property. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
