A collotype print photograph of Roger Fenton, taken by an unknown photographer, c. 1860. Roger Fenton (1819 - 1869) was a British photographer and founder member of the RPS. He is well known as one of the first war photographers, from his work in the Crimea in 1855. However, he also regularly photographed the Royal Family and the collections of the British Museum as well as many landscapes, architectural studies and still lifes.
