Description

'Homeless people often gathered in the open space that was at the southern end of Waterloo Bridge. The underside of the bridge was a convenient shelter. It was a thoroughfare too, but came more to be a place where homeless people congregated. The British Film Institute's iMax theatre seems the have been build in this open space. Through the bridge's pillar can be seen the pillars of St John's Church, and in the far distance, down Waterloo Road, is the cupola that tops The Wellington Pub.'
