Chromolithograph by Cosack & Co of the Catholic Total Abstinence Union Fountain designed by Herman Kirn. Figures depicted include Moses, Archbishop Carroll, Charles Carroll, John Barry, and Father Matthew. Colour plate from 'Treasures of art, industry and manufacture represented in the American Centennial Exhibition at Philadelphia 1876'. The American Centennial Exhibition opened in Philadelphia in Spring 1876 and celebrated the 100th anniversary of American independence, as well as a century of industrial and scientific achievement and cultural exchange. All of the American states and many other nations were represented in a total of more than 30,000 displays.
