King Leopold congratulates British winner of International cross-country race before leaving for London - 22-March-1937

Before leaving for London, King Leopold of the Belgians congratulated J.C. Flockhart, the Scottish cross-country champion, who won the individual race in the six-nations cross-country at the Stockel Racecourse, near Brussels. England won the event with 55 points - their 26th success since 1903. Flockhart's time for the nine miles course was 49min. 50 4/5sec.
