Description

Etching after his own drawing by Edward William Cooke (1811-1880), of a half-decked fishing boat. It was called a hatch-boat as it had hatches through which fish were thrown down to the hold. Illustration from Cooke's 'Fifty plates of shipping and craft' published in London in 1829.
