One of a series of figures composed from the tools of their trade. The barber's head is composed of scisors, a tin, a brush for dusting away hair clippings and a wig, while the gown provides his body. The verse below reads; 'Twixt man and horse comparison can't harbour; Let Arabs boast of barbs, here's a barber'.
