J Abraham was optician and mathematical instrument maker to the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Wellington. Abraham's premises were at 7 Bartlett Street, Bath, Somerset, and at Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. His trade card shows two men dresed in naval uniform, one using a sextant, the other a telescope. In the foreground are a globe, a microscope and other scientific instruments.
