Description

Aquatint by Hill after an original drawing by Thomas Rowlandson and Augustus Pugin showing women at Bridewell Prison, London. Taken from 'Repository of Arts' by Rudolph Ackermann (1764-1834). Pugin was responsible for drawing the architectural details of this series of 104 hand coloured aquatints, and English caricaturist Rowlandson painted in the figures. Dimensions: 236 mm x 282 mm.
