Lithograph by John Gilbert showing notable points in English history covering the period 1830 to 1837, the reign of William IV (1765-1837) . The central panel illustrates William IV top, and the opening of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway in 1830, bottom. Also featured are images and medallions referring to Princes Victoria (who became Queen in 1837 following her uncle's death), Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel, Lord J Rusell, Charles Knight, 'Negro Emancipation 1833', steam and overland voyages to India, an Arctic land expedition and the building of London Bridge.
