This young owl was found abandoned after if had fluttered out of the nest and was fed artificially. In lieu of a parent it adopted the dog, and fortunately the dog was happy to oblige. Photographer John Drysdale trained at Guildford School of Art in the early 1950s. He has worked in photo-reportage, advertising and industrial photography and won numerous awards. His most memorable work has been in the field of humour, working with children and animals.
