Paper doiley, or tray cover, printed on two sides to form a ticket for the ceremony that marked the opening of the new Coal Exchange in London. The doiley is printed on one side with an coloured engraving illustrating the group of plants and flowers found as fosils in coal and on the reverse with a map of the City of London indicating the location of the Coal Exchange.
