Paper doiley, or tray cover, printed on two sides to form a ticket for the ceremony that marked the opening of the new Coal Exchange in London. The doiley is printed on one side with a coloured engraving illustrating the group of plants and flowers found as fosils in coal and on the reverse with a map of the city of London indicating the location of the Coal Exchange.
