Colour aquatint engraved by Robert Havell Junior after an original painting by J Cartwright, showing a view of the Hay Tor quarries on Dartmoor. During the 1820s and 1830s, the Hay Tor Granite Quarries supplied 'Hay Tor' granite for such buildings as the new London Bridge (completed in 1831) and parts of the National Gallery (1832) and Covent Garden Market (1830). Published for the Proprietor by Havell Junior of 79, Newman Street, Oxford Street, London.
