A receipt isued by Felling for the purchase of coal at Newcastle upon Tyne. The Newcastle chaldron was the standard measurement for coal, the equivalent of 36 bushels, or approximately 2134 kilos. A vignette on the receipt shows a ship waiting to be loaded with coal.
