Description

Engraving by G Cumming. The station at Newtyle was on the termini on the Dundee & Newtyle Railway, Scotland's first pasenger railway. In 1833 the line had 31,000 pasengers, a number which had risen to 61,000 by 1839. The line covered 11 miles.
