Lithograph, drawn and lithographed by the English-born artist Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait (1819-1905), showing a haywain being pulled along a street with a railway viaduct in the background. The London & North Western Railway was created in 1846 from the amalgamation of the Grand Junction Railway, the London & Birmingham Railway and the Manchester & Birmingham Railway. Printed & published by Bradshaw & Blacklock, London & Manchester.
