'Ijzeren-Spoorweg van London naar Greenwich'. Running between London Bridge and Greenwich, the first part of the London & Greenwich Railway opened in 1836, with the entire line completed in 1838. Designed specifically for pasenger traffic, it was the first railway in London, and the forerunner of the many inner suburban commuter systems. The railway line can be seen running towards the Royal Observatory, visible on the horizon.
