Lithograph by John Cooke Bourne, from a collection of views on the construction of the London & Birmingham Railway. Wolverton viaduct was 660 foot long and 57 foot high. It is shown here under construction in 1837. When the line was widened later in the 19th century; a second viaduct exactly following this design was grafted onto the side.
