Description

Engraving with a central image of Flamstead House, Greenwich, London, surrounded by the heads of four important figures in astronomy including the Danish astronomer, Tycho Brahe (1546-1601) and the Greek astronomer and geographer, Ptolemy of Alexandria (c 90-168 AD). Shown here are incomplete sections of the game, instructions are to the right of this central panel with the game itself being played around the edge with numbered squares depicting scenes of astronomical interest including eclipses, astronomers with astronomical instruments, celestial globes and a map of the solar system.
