Description

Etching showing men and women commenting on the lack of smoke and soot from the factories of Manchester. One observes that the principle of the new scheme for ridding the air of smoke and soot 'is to burn the smoke into flame', and wonders why the 'Enterprising Geniuses' hadn't come up with this solution before, as 'every Lady is well aware that the Tea Kettle boils quickest when there is a good flame'.
