Description

'Semoir' ('Seed plough'); engraving by Deseve after Deguignes, from a book on China, showing two Chinese farm workers using a drilling tool to sow rows of seeds. One of eleven engravings from the book, which includes both industrial scenes and bridge/canal scenes.
