This cartoon of Wilbur Wright (1867-1912) was drawn by Dudley Hardy for the Doncaster Aviation Meeting Souvenir Programme from 15-23 October 1909, the First Flying Meeting in England. He flew a Wright Biplane. Along with his brother, Orville, Wilbur made the world's first manned and powered flight on 17 December 1903. It took place above the beaches of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, covered 120 feet and lasted 12 seconds.
