Title page written by C F Ermeler and engraved by Abel Malo, to the atlas volume of 'Voyage autour du monde' ('Voyage round the world') by Louis Isidore Duperrey, (Paris, 1826). The page states that the voyage was undertaken by order of King Charles X (1757-1836), under the ministry of the Marquis of Clermont-Tonnerre, and published under the auspices of his excellency the Count of Chabrol, Minister of the Navy and the Colonies. Duperrey (1786-1865), knight of St Louis and of the Legion d'Honneur, was a French marine hydrographer and the commander of the 'Coquille' during its voyage (1822-1825) to Chile, Peru, Polynesia, the Molucca Islands (Indonesia), New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Australia.
