Coloured print, titled 'Moisant and Companion in a Bleriot Monoplane Flying from Paris to London'. John B Moisant, an American aviator of French Canadian descent, became the first to fly an aeroplane from Paris to London with a pasenger on board in 1910. He accomplished the feat in a Bleriot monoplane, carrying his mechanic, Albert Fileux, and rather curiously, a cat. Moisant was killed when his Bleriot crashed later the same year.
