Description

Chromolithograph by Vincent Brooks Day & Son Ltd of a caricature by Leslie Ward, better known as Spy (1851-1922), from 'Vanity Fair' magazine. Wilks (1824-1911) was a physician and pathologist, and is said to have been the first to describe a case of myasthenia gravis, now the most common autoimmune disease.
