Blue mezzotint by Johann Jakob Haid, 1737, after an original work by Johann Leonhard Hirshmann, c 1730s. Johann Weinmann (1683-1737) was the director of a pharmacy in Regensburg, Germany. He produced 'Phytanthoza Iconographia', an illustrated work on botany published between 1737 and 1745. Weinmann did the original drawings and these were then engraved.
