Description

A Tachyscope is an early form of animated picture machine, in which chronophotographs were mounted on the periphery of a rotating wheel in order to show motion. Devised by Otto Anschuetz of Berlin, this illustration is taken from the journal 'Scientific American', (New York, 16th November 1889).
