Railway tickets, 1832.

These tickets were for the journey from Liverpool to Warrington on the Liverpool & Manchester and Grand Junction Railways. The tickets were cut from an order book by a clerk, who, on their purchase, filled in the details of the train time and the price paid. The right hand side was isued to the pasenger, the left side retained as the railway company's receipt. These particular tickets were never isued.
