One of a series of railway carriage prints entitled 'Railway Architecture', by Kenneth Steel (1906-1970), produced for British Railways (BR), London Midland Region (LMR). The print shows a view of the Runcorn Railway Bridge, Cheshire, which was built in 1868 as both a railway and pedestrian toll bridge, spanning the River Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal. The Widnes-Runcorn Transporter Bridge can also be seen in the distance.
