Blacksmith Thomas Humber established a bicycle making busines in the West Midlands in the late 19th century. In 1900 the firm began to produce motor cars, including the Humberette, manufactured in Coventry and at Beeston, near Nottingham, from 1903. The car has a tubular frame, a single-cylinder 5 hp engine and seats two people.
