Gladstone' steam locomotive and tender, 1882. This 0-4-2 steam locomotive, No 214, was designed by William Stroudley (1833-1889) and built at Brighton, Susex, for the London Brighton & South Coast Railway (LB&SCR). It was withdrawn from service in 1927. Dimensions of locomotive: length 51 feet 10 inches; width 8 feet 4 inches; weight 38 tons 14 cwt.
