Description

This locomotive, designed by the GER's Chief Mechanical Engineer, William Adams, and modified by his succesor, Masey Bromley, had been built by Neilson & Co in Glasgow in 1878. The first 'Moguls' to be built in Britain, the clas proved so uneconomical to run that they were all scrapped within eight years of entering service.
