Photograph from an album of images collected by Charles Stewart Rolls (1877-1910), showing the Cambridge University triplet of Kenny, Stewart and Rolls pacing Bennet in a 24 hour cycle race. Rolls, English motorist, aviator and car manufacturer, founded Rolls-Royce Ltd with Sir Frederick Henry Royce (1863-1933) in 1906, creating one of the most famous motoring companies in the world. He was also a keen aviator, making the first non-stop double crosing of the English Channel by aeroplane.
